Maryland county turns schools over to same company that is a month late with FL test scores

Montgomery County, MD schools will in effect turn their classrooms into walking, talking advertisements for Pearson Education, Inc.


The company has the right to develop the curriculum. The county can only object if Pearson Education, Inc. thinks the concerns are reasonable. That is a lot of curriculum power. Pearson will be in effect determining the agenda for that county's public school system.

Perhaps the Maryland county should look to the company's problems in Florida before turning over their whole county to Pearson.
