Do Board of Ed members write their own letters?

The Office of the Superintendent is responsible for reviewing all correspondence prepared for the signature of the president of the Board of Education or another member of the Board. The correspondence is prepared in final form by the appropriate associate superintendent or department director for review by the Office of the Superintendent after review by the Office of the Chief Operating Officer or Office of the Deputy Superintendent of Schools.

From the MCPS Correspondence Manual, Page 49.

  1. Looks like not...so do Board members speak for their constituents or for Central Office?
