  1. Instead of MCPS closing the entire district like some local jurisdictions, MCPS I believe wanted as many students to go to school that first day as possible. I was one of several people out there checking schools as the power fluctuated on and off throughout the county. So I know we made every effort to get students back in their seats on Monday!
