Of course, Superintendent off on Photo Op.

A photo opportunity is more important than addressing the arrest of a MCPS teacher.

From Twitter we learn where Superintendent Joshua Starr was this morning as news of the arrest of a MCPS teacher was becoming public.  Will Superintendent Starr be stopping by New Hampshire Estates Elementary School in Silver Spring to meet with parents and staff?

New Hampshire Estates is a Pre-K through 2nd grade only school.

Here's where Superintendent Starr was instead:

Lots of community members are here at rolling terrace to greet and secretary sebilius

  1. New Hampshire Estates ES is quite close to Rolling Terrace ES. No time to fit in a visit to NHE, especially given the recent (and disturbing) news?

  3. That's what they do. Everything is swept under the carpet...............everything. However, I think it's becoming more difficult for Starr and MCPS to do this. Too many things happening in this county that should have been addressed long ago. The teachers within MCPS schools realize this. The social-emotional well being of staff within MCPS schools is at an all time low and teachers are completely stressed with the "keep up appearances" approach set forth by MCPS.
