Pepco, PHI, BGE and Exelon Campaign Contributions

From Abbe Milstein, Founder of Powerupmontco.  Election Day is Tuesday, June 24th.

Dear Powerupmontco Supporters;

  1. Not sure why this was posted here--no educational link. Also, this is a clear endorsement--and 100% undeserved IMHO--of Simmons, even though Power Up says it is not and told me a clarification would be issued.

  2. Here's the lame clarification on Simmons, not that anyone will see it, buried as it was at the bottom of a different email about county council candidates:

    Also, it is important to understand that Powerupmontco does not endorse candidates. The information disseminated by Powerupmontco is an effort to give transparency to the inner workings of the Public Service Commission, the Assembly and to shed a little light on the money regulated power utilities spend to influence policy makers at all levels of government. Should any elected official choose to address power reliability issues while in office through the introduction of bills or seek advice on relevant policy making issues, please contact powerupmontco@gmail.com. We will do our best to work with you. Comments written in the last email concerning Luiz Simmons’ bill (the bill regulated monopoly utility contributions) were posted to educate readers about this importance of this legislation, not as a candidate endorsement.

    Thank you for your support,

  3. So the slogan "We're connected to you by more than power lines®." takes a whole new meaning here.
