Just to confirm the Chromebook is not supported with ActivInspire yet nor the ActivBoards. I have requested for this to be raised as an official enhancement with the software development team to review and hopefully implement for future releases of ActivInspire.

So, let me get this straight: out of the blue, with maybe 2 days' notice to the public, MCPS is spending $15 million on 40K laptops that there is no actual study showing will benefit kids, that aren't even compatible with the tech (purchased w/o public input) that we already have?
ReplyDeleteI guess the good news is that as the boards become obsolete, we can throw more money into buying compatible ones. We certainly wouldn't want to spend it on building maintenance, on more teachers and paras to improve student-teacher ratios, on repairing musical instruments, on playground equipment, on sufficient copy paper, or anything like THAT.
There are FAR too many unanswered questions about this new tech initiative, and it passed FAR too quickly and easily.
