  1. As Lyda said, "What is the DETAILED Plan". This is $15M (or really $45M over the three year roll out to 100,000 units).

    Not mentioned was that these are assets with a 3 or 4 year useful life, So by the time you've bought all 100,000 units you are due to start replacing them. So really we are talking about a $15,000,000 PER YEAR COMMITMENT in perpetuity. This may be sold to the BOE and community as a one time purchase but it is really a long term commitment for a lot of money.

    And then there are those pesky issues about things like what happens when the 3rd or 4th graders drop and break them. Who pays to fix or replace?

    And what kind of case do they go in? Was that included in the $15M. Do they all get LEATHER CASES, like Deputy Superintendent Kim Statham purchased on her MCPS Credit Card, as was paid for with public dollars (until she was busted and paid it back).

    And how many non-teaching full time employees (i.e.; overhead) need to be hired to support this project?
