  1. From what I have seen on MC streaming video and heard privately from certain MC Councilmembers, Branson (temporary caretaker councilwoman, leaving office on December 1st) was NOT liked by most of her peers for "making waves." These are exactly the kind of waves that need to be made for a positive change in Montgomery County. Why are we stuck with the likes of Floreen, Leventhal, Rice and Riemer, who serve developers, NOT citizens and certainly NOT students?

  2. This county needs many more wave makers. The school system is tanking while our taxes continue to rise.

  3. So glad that Caretaker-Councilmember Branson is digging! Please dig deeper, because what we’ve been getting is anything but transparent. The example of the apportioned support for Special Ed. to the four high schools suggest to me that far fewer parents of students in the less-affluent schools are paying for the outside testing and/or the legal/expert advocacy to get their kids needed Special Ed support services. Just one more way that the Consortium and Consortium-like schools get the short end of the stick.
