  1. Congrats Parents' Coalition! Can't wait to see how long it takes you to start slamming the new superintendent! Probably a few hours.

    1. Sorry, we aren't the Board of Education. You must be confusing us with the elected body that is actually charged with making this decision.

Will the next superintendent remove suspected sexual abusers of children from classrooms or leave them there as Joshua Starr did?

@anonymous would like us to let children be sexually abused by teachers and staff. Sorry, we aren't going to condone that illegal activity in public school classrooms!

  2. May the current Board be more open about the search and hiring of the next superintendent than the Board was about this one.

  4. I would like to thank the Parent Coalition for putting children first.

This is partly due to your diligence in making sure that the school system focuses on spending taxpayer money in the best way to ensure that all MCPS students receive the highest quality of education delivered by the best and most highly qualified leaders.

Let's hope you can now work to put MCPS back in the spotlight of being the best system in the nation.

  5. Thank you Parents’ Coalition… REALLY!!!

Thank you, Janis, Lyda, Paula and many others for your tireless efforts in getting the truth out. If that truth contributed in getting MCPS a better, more responsive superintendent, all the better. Starr was an ineffective putz. We need someone who is not afraid of TRANSPARENTLY taking on the difficult issues before us.

  6. There will certainly not be any discussion about today's events in our schools. The PTAs are very busy this morning controlling the message on our listservs. Parents' voices do not count.
