School System Approves Addition Project for Fast-Growing Bethesda Middle School - Bethesda Beat - Bethesda, MD

  1. Twinbrook ES modernization was pushed back again to 2023. I guess it's better to live in a mostly white rich Bethesda neighborhood than a poor mostly Hispanic working class neighborhood, if you want your kid to go to a quality school. This decision REEKS of Countywide institutional racism and/or classism. When the county relocates the confederate statue, perhaps they could put it in front of NBMS or the EOB.

    1. Yes, it does. Yet, over and over and over again voters put Apple Ballot candidates in office. This is the result. This is what voters want.

      Meanwhile, the reality is that MCPS middle schools have thousands of empty seats.

      You would think that someone in the County would want to use the existing facilities first before expending new money, but no, that would be fiscally responsible and that's simply not a desired attribute in Apple Ballot elected officials. The hallmark of an Apple Ballot endorsed candidate is the desire to spend money like water, including treating yourself to the well as often as possible.

      The bottom line is less teachers in classrooms, less resources for students.
