MCPS Security Review Calls for More Staff Training, School Accountability

MCPS Security Review Calls for More Staff Training, School Accountability: Team releases findings from safety study at 25 high schools

  1. “If you don’t have the right people with the right approach to kids, it will all be for naught,” Andrew Zuckerman, MCPS’ chief operating officer.

This is the smartest thing that Zuckerman has ever said at a board meeting (his executive director must have texted it to him during the meeting). Unfortunately for Zuckerman he implicates himself as being the WRONG person with the WRONG approach. Zuckerman oversees School Safety and Security. It is failing because of Zuckerman's failed "leadership".

  2. There was a day when some police experience was a prerequisite for this job. Somewhere along the way this requirement was dropped and now they will hire just about anybody. Did they ever address this?
