MCPS Says: Unless you recently traveled to a country on the CDC list, there is no need for you to self-quarantine. What about Teachers/Staff/Students Exposed to the Virus? MCPS is not having them self quarantine?

"Unless you recently traveled to a country on the CDC list, there is no need for you to self-quarantine."

From today's MCPS letter:

https://www.montgomeryschoolsmd.org/departments/publicinfo/community/school-year-2019-2020/coronavirus-030920.html

Superintendent Jack R. Smith says that the only people that need to self-quarantine are those that have been out of the country.

Therefore, according to Superintendent Jack R. Smith, even if someone knows they were within 6 feet of someone who has tested positive for the Corona virus those people do not need to self-quarantine and can keep showing up in schools unless they actually get sick, and then they should stay home.  But after known exposure, they can continue to show up in schools.
