There are over 1,400 MCPS Purchasing Cards (AMEX) issued to MCPS staff at schools, administrative offices and in field locations. Click here to see the list of MCPS Purchasing Card holders. In addition, MCPS staff file expense reports and are reimbursed for expenses. Below is a small sample of how some MCPS staff use MCPS Procurement Cards and samples of expense reports. The MCPS Purchasing Card Users Guide details how MCPS Purchasing Cards are to be used. The Guide was published in 2007 and updated in 2009 after the Parents' Coalition of Montgomery County, MD brought to light the number of purchasing cards in use and uses that did not comply with the Guide. The Guide was taken off the MCPS website and reappeared in a new version in April of 2012.
