NYC Council debates Safety of artificial turf

On February 9 the New York City Council debated the safety of artificial turf. Members introduced three bills; one to require signage warning of the heat dangers; one to prohibit the use of certain synthetic turf on playfields; and one to require a temperature test on the playfields. In contrast, your Board of Education has swept all safety issues under the rug. The Board of Education, charged with the education and safety of your children, has decided it is more important to be good customers of FieldTurfTarkett.
