The amount of proposed school construction spending even prompted county Superintendent Jerry D. Weast to call Leggett a "visionary leader" and compare him to Abraham Lincoln.
So what will Jerry Weast call the County Council members if they don't pony up the full amount of dollars that the unanimous Board of Education has in mind?
"DEFENDANTS."
This is an old story. Does Weast still stand behind these words? Also, does Leggett still propose all those costs?
