This is great news. Now voters have a choice in this county, with a candidate who endorses transparency and really looks at how our children are being educated. Thanks for running!
First Lyda Astrove, then Louis Wilen, now Agnes Jones-Trower... Wow! I hope Montgomery County voters will realize how tremendously lucky we are in this election cycle to have such dedicated and committed citizens roll up their sleeves and make a difference.
Lyda, Louis, Agnes: I admire your energy and your courage. We desperately need people like you on the Board of Education -- people who are not afraid to ask tough questions, who research the issues, and who are committed to educating and empowering the public so that we, too, can understand them.
No more politics as usual! Commitment to education + fiscal responsibility -- a concept long overdue!
The At-large, District 1 and District 5 seats will all appear on the PRIMARY ballot on September 14th. Each of those races has more than two candidates running for election.
The District 3 seat only has two candidates and will only be seen on the GENERAL ballot on November 2nd.
