The editorial commending Jerry D. Weast reflected unfairly on the superintendent's predecessors. To say "only certain students -- the white and prosperous -- benefited" before Mr. Weast's arrival is unjust. Admittedly, he built strongly on earlier efforts, but those programs cannot be ignored...
