Board of Education *still* objects to sale of Peary High School site

Despite the representation made by MCPS Demographer & Director of Long Range Planning Bruce Crispell to the Montgomery County Planning Board at their hearing on the sale of the Peary High School site yesterday, the Board of Education apparently still objects to the sale of this former public high school site. 


Mr. Crispell had told the Planning Board that the "Board has shifted from opposition to the sale, to support for the sale..."


The Parents' Coalition has obtained a copy of a letter sent today from Board of Education President Patricia O'Neill to County Executive Ike Leggett. 


Included in the letter shown below is the following statement from Board of Education President O'Neill:

"If you decide to sell this property over our objections..."
