MCPS Parents Support Guaranteed Active Recess

In MCPS, principals keep elementary school children inside crowded 50-60 kids to a room at the slightest hint of cold or inclement weather. They are expected to play quietly and calmly during their only down time. In addition, teachers and lunch aides take away recess as punishment.
Our children need ACTIVE time. This helps them both learn and be healthy.
Please note this is our 2nd petition on this topic. Both will go together in a 2nd round to the Board of Education. You do not need to sign again if you signed last year.
