Board adds $232K in Union Liaison Positions Since 2006

Since 2006, the Montgomery County Board of Education added two new union liaison positions to the MCPS operating budget.  Total in salary alone (no benefits) for these two new positions is $ 232,627.04.  


Please note that this information is coming out of the MCPS Operating Budget for 2010.  This is not salary information from a union budget.  A choice has been made by the secret budget committee to fund these positions out of the MCPS Operating Budget over, for example, classroom teacher positions. The unions and MCCPTA all sit at the secret budget table.
