Gaithersburg Aquatic Center closed for summer

...The school system is responsible for the maintenance, repair and replacement of the center’s structure and exterior walls and utilities, according to the agreement it signed with the city in 2003. If there is a structural failure to a portion of the building or critical system failure that causes prolonged closure of the center and major renovations the city and the county Board of Education will negotiate a funding split for repairs.
