Exclusive Chart: All First Semester Grade Level Courses Final Exam Grades
This chart is a compilation of the data that has been released to date for the countywide
exam grades for the first semester of the 2012-2013 school year for on level classes. Honors classes are not included on this chart.
With this deplorable situation with exam grades coming to light, what exams will our high school students be provided with in 2 weeks? The same problem exams?
Exact same ones. Superintendent Starr has no intention of addressing this problem at this time. He is going to push this off on to "work groups" and continue Tweeting, podcasting, traveling etc... This is not his problem. That's why he ignored it for his first 2 years here.
If MCPS parents were like parents in NY or CA or FL they would be protesting at BOE meetings (Thurs evening) and out in front of 850 Hungerford Drive. But, here in "world class" MCPS land our parents sit by passively and wait for Pearson or Wireless Generation or IQEye or Promethean or FieldTurf to fix the public school system.
Thanks Janis. Your comments are spot on. What more than flawed final exams will wake up the apathetic MCPS parents of high school students? Our kids need our voices to cry out on their behalf. Who will join me at the BOE meeting tomorrow?
It is painfully obvious that Bridge to Algebra is not meeting the needs of MCPS students. Time to throw that one away and start over.
ReplyDeleteI agree.
DeleteIt's like a bridge to nowhere.
