Board of Ed Met Behind Closed Doors To Discuss #RockTerrace Issues

Hiding behind a cloak of secrecy, the Board of Education of Montgomery County met on November 12, 2013 to discuss issues relating to Rock Terrace School, its vocational program, and potential (or not-so-potential, but highly likely) litigation. A report was issued summarizing items discussed at the closed session, which contains the following information:

So when Joshua Starr made the statement that the school system will act when it’s clear what it should do following the state’s attorney’s investigation, he was being evasive, at best. Why? Because Joshua Starr, the Board of Education, and its lawyer had already met earlier to discuss potential litigation!

Instead of being completely transparent about taking steps to return the money to Rock Terrace students, Joshua Starr and the Board of Education are hoping that they can outwit, outlast, and outplay the students who were ripped off by MCPS's own employees.

The only acceptable step towards resolving the situation is to hire an independent forensic auditor. The criminal case will run its course regardless of whether Josh Starr and the Board of Education do the right thing or not. CIVIL LIABILITY REMAINS, people!
