Board members are discussing artificial turf football fields. MCPS Director of Construction James Song tells the Board of Education that "City of Gaithersburg used two layers. There is a crumb rubber base and then they overlayed it with a cork material."
The City of Gaithersburg immediately held a press event to show off their artificial turf field that does not contain any crumb rubber.
Why the misinformation to the Montgomery County Board of Education by MCPS staff?
"Misinformation" is the kindest way to describe anything out of Mr. Song's mouth. With no checks, he will say anything to get what he wants.
