Detectives from the Montgomery County Police Department – Special
Victims Investigations Division (SVID) have arrested and charged two
Rockville High School students, Jose O. Montano, age 17, of an unconfirmed address, and Henry E. Sanchez, age 18, of Bel Pre Road in the Aspen Hill area,
with the rape of a juvenile female Rockville High School student. The
rape occurred at the school yesterday during school hours. Montano has
been charged as an adult in this crime.
On Thursday, March 16, school administrators notified Montgomery
County Police that a juvenile female student reported to them that she
had been sexually assaulted in a boy’s bathroom by two male students.
SVID detectives were notified of this report and began an investigation...

ReplyDeleteWashington Post also has an article about this but they are not allowing comments. I guess their new motto, "Democracy Dies in Darkness", doesn't apply when people who are in the USA illegally are involved in serious crimes.

DeleteIt is first and foremost the fault of the perpetrators, and secondly, it is the fault of the Montgomery County Public School system that is charged with insuring the saftey of its students.

There has been a steady uptick in gang activity in MCPS and FCPS high schools over the past few years. The school systems are having trouble handling the number of unaccompanied minors that are coming to this area. These students come with a lot of emotional issues from their journey, family reunification issues and many times are not fully literate in Spanish.

It's too bad because MCPS used to be a first class PUBLIC school system.

Not even one elected official has made a public comment about this terrible crime. Not even a comment on Facebook or on their official blogs. Not a single quote in the media from any elected official.
DeleteThe county council members and the Board of Education members repeatedly speak out about how we need to "help these immigrant children", yet when several of these "immigrant children" commit one of the worst crimes known to humanity, we hear absolutely nothing from the elected officials that condemns the crime.
Obviously, they do not consider it as a 'high profile' crime.

DeleteIsn't it kind of strange the media haven't gotten any quotes about the rape from students or parents at Rockville High School? The media people nearly always get a few quotes or interviews from people who are adjacent to or loosely affected by a nearby event or crime. But in this case, there haven't been any quotes from or interviews with students or parents of students at RHS.
Teachers and staff at the school are, of course, muzzled by the superintendent, so it's understandable that they haven't been interviewed by the media.
Are parents and students now so scared of the gangs that they are afraid to speak up? Could that also be why the local elected officials haven't spoken out about this horrible crime?
So we evolved from the rule of law to the lawless rule.
