On average, a school employee that has been alleged to have engaged in sexual abuse or misconduct will be transferred to THREE different schools before they are reported to the police. .@MarylandSCCAN .@paulpinsky .@ericluedtke .@clarencelammd
When you say "safeguard its integrity" you are refering to SAFEGUARDING STUDENTS IN OUR PUBLIC SCHOOLS CORRECT? Your FIRST priority is the CHILDREN correct? You are disgusted that Maryland is bottom of the barrel in keeping children safe from sexual predators in public schools, correct?
You remember the Joseph Ballmann case at Westland MS, correct? You remember how that MCPS teacher was allowed to STAY in MCPS after sexually abusing a student. He was allowed to pick up his foosball table and move to another MCPS school, remember? That's called passing the trash. Moving suspected or known sexual abusers around from school to school, jurisdiction to jurisdiction. It's what the Catholic Church and MCPS have done for DECADES. It's time to put a stop to this!
I thought this very important bill had been passed already!!! Please IM me if you need a parent calling legislators about how critical it’s to pass this! My child was abused by a MoCo teacher! We need this to stop!!!
Has this proposed Bill been parsed for any potential latent loopholes?
ReplyDeleteAre there any checks and balances in place to safeguard its integrity?
It has already passed in other States.

Agree 100%. Another concern is the Annapolis intellectuals, who mysteriously insert last minute changes, to detooth the Bill.

ReplyDeleteDid the State's Attorney office do anything about it?
