Montgomery County's Curriculum 2.0 develops critical creative-thinking skills and essential academic success skills, so that students are well prepared for lifetime learning.

Purpose & Objectives
Participants will be able to:
-Take a guided tour of the Instruction Center that supports Curriculum 2.0.
-Receive the framework outlining how explicit instruction of 21st Century Skills is woven through curriculum content in Montgomery County, Maryland.
-Consider how the Instruction Center fosters an online professional learning community.

Outline

Presentation of the Elementary Integrated Curriculum Framework integrating Thinking and Academic Success Skills explicitly into daily instruction K-5. Guided tour and navigation of the online platform that houses the curriculum including user ability to interact with the curriculum site. Share curriculum resources accessible on the site that incorporate content, professional development, Universal Design for Learning components, and technology integration. Posters that exhibit explicit instruction of 21st Century Thinking and Academic Success Skills.
