- James Misenheimer: arrest 1999
I am an attorney. I have filed a civil suit (seeking compensation) against former teacher Lawrence Joynes (and the Board of Education) on behalf of one kindergarten child and will be filing a second case in the near future. The names of my clients and their parents are being kept private. I would greatly appreciate any information anyone could give me about Mr. Joynes, about his alleged practice of taking girls into his classroom during lunch. locking the door and engaging in pornographic activity. I want to know what the school and the Board did to protect the students. I promise to keep any communication private. My name is Joe Williams- my firm is Williams & Santoni, LLP in Baltimore County. My phone number is 410-938-8666 and my email address is jtw@williams-santonilaw.com. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteIt’s the ones who don’t get arrested that you need to be worried about. The ones protected by the MCPS brass. Guys and probably a few women too whose victims go to social services instead of the police because the kids don’t want to go on the stand and face their abuser. MCPS has employees who have been indicated in sexual abuse cases just not criminally. Read all about it. CPS keeps a private list of these abusers and offenders and MCPS can choose to keep them employed before and after their bogus “investigations” (read PR/damage control research). Happens all the time. Nobody has access to this registry unless they employ people working with kids. It’s disgusting and anyone who has had to watch their abuser walk back into the classroom or go on to teach in another state knows all about this.
ReplyDeleteLook up 1279A Background Clearance form on the MD Department of Health site. No where on there is it talking about criminal acts. MDH maintains a secret registry of child sexual abusers not accessible to the public. If parents think their kids are protected by the typical criminal background check/fingerprinting and “training” MCPS requires of its volunteers and employees, I’m sorry to say that they are very much mistaken. MCPS has, does and will continue keep child sex abusers employed for years after CPS closes their investigations with indicated or substantiated findings.
DeleteScary. How can we change this?
