MCPS releases RFP for super security system for Elementary Schools

MCPS is seeking bids for a state-of-the-art, high-tech security system for elementary schools. The system includes electronic badge readers, surveillance cameras, door sensors, and recording and logging devices. All data will be collected, monitored, and stored at a central control facility.

A bidders conference is scheduled for Friday, August 7, at 11:00 a.m.

  1. An actual Request for Proposal from MCPS for a major multi-million dollar procurement!

    RFP's were not produced for the multi-million dollar EasyLobby, Promethean or IQinVision procurements in recent years so this is a major development. In recent years MCPS has been enjoying just going out and shopping for whatever they wanted to purchase without following Maryland State procurement law.

    Will there be competitive bids on this RFP?
