Breaking News: Public School Fees Settlement Agreement for California

Looks like public school students in California are going to be getting that "free public education" thing we have heard about. No such luck for students in Montgomery County, Maryland.

Below is the Settlement Agreement in the ACLU lawsuit in California over the fees public school students were being charged to attend public school. And here is one of the first news stories on the settlement agreement:

 — California public school students who have to pay for basic instructional materials or academic programs could get their money back within 30 days. It’s part of a historic agreement today between the American Civil Liberties Union and the State of California. 
California’s constitution says all students in the Golden State are entitled to a free public education. 
But in response to deep budget cuts, schools across California have been charging students for everything from textbooks to P.E. uniforms...
