WUSA coverage of appeal of cell tower vote by Board of Education:
"Some Montgomery County parents are demanding that the Board of Education stop renting public school property to cell phone companies.The companies plan to use the land for cell towers. The Parent's Coalition of Montgomery County says that violates state law. They are now appealing a decision to grant six leases.
The Washington Examiner reports that the board and the new superintendent, Joshua Starr, say they haven't had enough time to evaluate the appeal."
