In other words, in the land of the people, by the people, and for the people, just 6 out of nearly 6,000,000 residents will decide what is to the best interest of the children of Maryland. This comes to about 0.0001% of the people. . .
ReplyDeleteExactly! But, it is even less than the 6. We are told that Senator Bobby Zirkin won't budge on his position to leave loopholes in this law! So all of the children of the entire State of Maryland are in the hands of 1 person tomorrow.
DeleteAnd we have Senator Brian Frosh (running for MD Atty General) to thank for this! Senator Frosh appointed Senator Zirkin to this committee. Putting a bill killer in the position of Chair of a committee designed to work out a compromise sends a pretty big signal that Senator Frosh isn't interested in this legislation. You can thank Senator Frosh by e-mail brian.frosh@senate.state.md.us and at the polls in the June election.
DeleteI would think that the latter gesture will be more effective.
