ReplyDeleteI believe that it was again agreed upon to kick the can farther down the road.
ReplyDeleteNot sure what you think is going on. Mr. Joynes is no longer in MCPS classrooms thanks to Homeland Security. Yesterday he waived his right to a speedy trial. It was known months ago that this would probably be the course this matter would run. Mr. Joynes' court appointed lawyer is facing two high profile trials this fall. It is no surprise that he would request additional time to prepare.
DeleteThe damage to MCPS students has been done. The Board of Education's response has been to do nothing. They haven't even kicked a can, they've done nothing. They are educating teachers THIS WEEK using a 25 year out of date child abuse policy. The Board of Education couldn't care less about the safety and security of public school children. As long as they get their tax payer paid for lunches and dinners and vacations they are happy.
It seems that only high profile cases are prosecuted in this county. Let's see if they'll put him away for life, to act as a deterrent for others, or he'll get ninety-nine lashes with a wet noodle.
ReplyDeleteYou aren't paying attention. He's being held in jail without bond. He's been in jail continuously since Homeland Security raided his home over a year ago.
DeleteRight, but he will be tried in a Montgomery County court not in a Federal court.
ReplyDeleteMontgomery County is the jurisdiction that denied him bond.
DeleteMaybe you aren't aware of what this guy did. Might be time to read the file.
