Question is whether [Starr] will decide to formally request a new contract between now and Sunday
...As school board members met in closed session today on Starr’s
future, several sources said the superintendent has been marshaling
supporters to press the case for giving him four more years. Starr is
said to have told those close to him that he wants to continue as the
superintendent of the Montgomery County schools.
The question is whether he will decide to formally request a new
contract between now and Sunday – a move that would set off a month-long
debate by the board, which, under law, would have to decide his fate by
March 1.
Mark Ehrlich knows better - why would he say the board got the superintendent it wanted, one that wasn't supposed to do anything but keep the status quo on a great school district. What a ridiculous thing to say - of course the board expects its superintendent to actively address problems and provide leadership. Now Ehrlich is criticizing the board for having appropriate expectations? Time to vote out Ehrlich...and Rice.
Yeah, because he wants to keep his big paycheck! No one else is dumb enough to pay him to do nothing.
