Montgomery Community Media is reporting that MCPS has hired Mid-Atlantic Equity Consortium of Bethesda, also known as MAEC, Inc. to perform an "anti-racist audit."

Susan Shaffer $185,000 + $51,000 extras |
Maria Basterra $130,000 + $13,000 extras |
This works out to average pay of $23,848 per year for each of the remaining 33 employees. It's possible that some of the 33 employees were employed only part of the year, in which case the average pay would be higher, but it would still likely be well below a living wage.
Almost half a million dollars for MCPS to get a grade on anti-racism? They already have "Experts" or specialist in race and equity making well over 100k a year and now they need a 3rd party? Are the people they hired not capable of this? If not what do they do?
ReplyDeleteSo for $455,000 they get a grade, they wont fix anything just ID it. I suppose what they find will need to be evaluated by a consulting firm which will cost another half a million so they can tell MCPS what to do about it.
Good thing about MCPS is MONEY IS NO OBJECT. They just ask the tax payer for more. Give MCPS your hard earned money so they can hire 2 people for $455,000 to tell them how racist they are. They must roam around central office thinking of ways to spend money while getting less results. These people are scam artists. They have MCPS jobs funded by tax payers, paying them $150-$200k a year accountable to nobody, wasting tax payer money. If you make less than $100k a year and work for a living in a non government job your a sheep.
