Weast's Failures
Today, the Washington Post published a letter from local special education activist Alice Kirkman, about the legacy and measure of Jerry Weast when it comes to the most vulnerable population of students: students with educational disabilities.
Read her letter HERE, and then send a letter to our local Board of Education, and ask them why they have permitted special education programs and services to deteriorate over a ten year period. The most devastating cutbacks have occurred during SHIRLEY BRANDMAN's tenure on the Board of Education.
