PG to Close Two Schools This Week. Schools to be Sanitized.

Notice from State Delegate Alonzo T. Washington:

The Prince George’s County Public School System will continue to listen to the guidance and recommendations of the County and State Health Department. The school system encourages students to stay home if they are sick and will no longer require a physician’s note for an absence of 3 days or more, however a parent's note is still required.

Today, PGCPS was notified that an individual affiliated with Eleanor Roosevelt High School and College Park Academy had close contact with someone who traveled to a country under a high-risk COVID-19 warning.

As a precaution, both schools will be closed Thursday, March 12 and Friday, March 13. PGCPS will utilize guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) to sanitize each school during this closure. Students and staff will return Monday, March 16.
