Delegate Eric Luedtke Blocks From Facebook If Reminded He is a Social Studies Teacher

Do Montgomery County elected officials really want to use Social Media to discuss public topics with citizens?  Of course not!

Delegate Eric Luedtke (who is currently overcharging his MCPS students for Outdoor Education trips) has blocked a user from his Facebook for reminding him that public school students in Maryland have a Constitutional right to a free public education.  Here is his reason for blocking:

Here is what was said that caused him to block:

The new definition of nasty:  reminding a Delegate to the Maryland General Assembly that they are also a Social Studies teacher and should be able to understand and abide by the Maryland Constitution.

  1. Thanks for posting this information about an elected official (Luedtke D-MCEA). Eric Luedtke is not the only politician who blocks constituents and deletes comments they don't like. Others are Hans Riemer (D-at-large) and Councilmember Marc Elrich (D-at-large). These politicians claim they want an open conversation from constituents on FB but when that happens they themselves become nasty.

  2. If these slanderous attacks on Delegate Luedtke (D-MCEA continue, we will have no choice but to take legal action against Janis Sartucci and the Parents' Coalition.

  3. Good luck with that. I don't see anything that would constitute slander. You might like to try some dialogue, however.
