Janis, I assume that was you and Parents Coalition was the unnamed "watchdog group" mentioned on the news tonight. They could have at least included your name as they do for everyone else they interview. If you can, please post the a video clip of this Fox 5 report. Thank you for speaking out.
You are correct about our role as the watchdog group. MCPS administrators are refusing to speak to the press about this case and are apparently not cooperating with the prosecutor.

The Apple Ballot makes MCPS a safe haven for pedophiles: The MCEA hand-picks the Board of Education, who protect the MCEA's members, including child abusers.
MCPS' consistent coverup culture is catching up to them, not just regarding the issues of sex abuse but with fiscal matters, special education and dispute resolution, contracting, and personnel issues. I find it astonishing that the Board and the Education Committee of the Council continues to rubber stamp what is presented to them. The "experts" are not always the experts. Thanks to the Parent Coalition for playing the difficult role of watchdog.
MCEA has nothing to do with predator principals. The "watchdog" got neutered after revealing the antics of Floyd "Closet Sandusky" Starnes of Kemp Mill ES in Silver Spring. The Coalition released some of the documents from his $108,000,000 May trial and then accepted his explanation that he was taking young male students into small, confined closets on the weekend for "disciplinary reasons." Got any swamp land in Burtonsville you want us to buy?
It is interesting that you continue to lie, as if that makes any of your anonymous comments from State College, PA credible. The Parents' Coalition has no dealings or communications with the Kemp Mill principal and has never, ever made any sort of statement on the many, many, many allegations of child abuse by the multiple people involved in this issue at Kemp Mill ES. We have put up documents that have been made public and will continue to do so with regard to ALL of the teachers, administrators and staff in MCPS that have been involved in litigation or arrested for allegations of child abuse.

What is it with MCPS attracting such characters among their midst?

In other words, it has become a haven for individuals outstanding in their fields. . .
