So what our legal eagles are doing about this; are they scurrying to find legal technicalities?
ReplyDeleteLet's hope that he did not have "part-time employee" or "volunteer" status during the alleged incidents because, according to state law, he would be off the hook.

Detectives from the Special Victims Investigations Division continue to investigate sexual offenses committed by Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) substitute teacher, Jose Pineda, age 50, of the 9100 block of Bramble Bush Court in Gaithersburg. Detectives believe that there may be additional victims and are urging possible victims and witnesses to come forward with information. The investigation thus far has revealed:
In early October, detectives from the Special Victims Investigations Division began investigating the report that Jose Pineda, in his role as a MCPS substitute teacher, inappropriately touched a female student at Roberto Clemente Middle School in September of 2014. If the police was proactive, then we would have less press conferences taking place glorifying their excellent work after the fact.
ReplyDeleteThe police can't act if MCPS doesn't make the call.
DeleteThey are certainly proactive in other areas.
