Superintendent Says Cell Towers are "not simply about money"
Daly Elementary School
Well, we are sure confused!
If putting cell towers on public school playgrounds isn't just about the lease payments then what is the need to put them on public school playgrounds?
To date, we have never seen a school community vote to put a cell tower on a playground. We have only seen parents opposed to these projects.
If these commercial HAZMAT facilites aren't about bringing in cash to the schools, what is really going on?
monitoring for radiation in 2012? HELLO- It is 2014 people. How often does Milestone even test levels? Is 2 times in 12 years OK with you? seriously,.... insanity. Get those towers down now!
The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) is an organization we know and trust. They are concerned about cell phone radiation. Watch videos of the Greenbelt Council meeting and read the AAP letter here http://www.nacst.org/greenbelt-council-votes-to-oppose-school-cell-towers.html
Frankly I don't care how many "credible, scientific organizations have come to the same finding". The fact that there are credible and scientific organizations, independent researchers and medical groups warning of significant risks to health is all that should be needed to move to protect our children from possible harm. You are saying that there is two stacks of evidence. Let's imagine for a moment that they are equal (they're not...the studies that find harm from RF FAR outnumber the studies that have not reached that conclusion) then why NOT err on the side of caution? Why risk the lives and health of thousands of children for the sake of...convenience? Finally, both the American Cancer Society and the World Health Organization caution against exposure to RF http://www.cancer.org/cancer/cancercauses/othercarcinogens/athome/smart-meters. So, the organizations that you know and trust have stated that RF is a possible carcinogen and cancer survivors are better off reducing exposure. Shouldn't we heed these warnings and friendly suggestions?

ReplyDeleteThe AAP needs to come up with a stronger message and take it to their elected officials nationwide. A mere concern just won't cut it.
ReplyDeleteCall em up. They need to hear from you. Shame on the AAP for staying quiet on this.
