MCPS called 911 center nearly 1,700 times in first four months of school year, data shows

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Md. (7News) — Montgomery County Public Schools may soon begin clearing officer space for the police department, a new plan revealed Tuesday details.

A growing number of people have demanded the return of school resource officers amid a violent academic year, which peaked during the Magruder High School shooting on Friday, Jan. 21.
