Security guard facing charges for showing porn to student at Earle B. Wood Middle School *** March 2018, Daughtry pleaded guilty to sex solicitation charges in Washington D.C.

In December, the student told detectives that Daughtry was his supervisor that day and no one else was in the classroom. At some point, the student asked Daughtry about his job and if he had any others. That’s when Daughtry said he also worked as a security guard at a D.C. nightclub. The victim told detectives Daughtry then pulled out his phone and showed photos and videos of naked women and people having sex. https://www.fox5dc.com/news/security-guard-facing-charges-for-showing-porn-to-student-at-earle-wood-middle-school

  1. The Usual Cut and Paste Response:
The school principal sent home a letter to families calling the allegations troubling and reprehensible, adding they do not represent the values of MCPS and the Wood community.

    1. But they represent the values of the Montgomery County Board of Education! The BOE won't even fire convicted sex offenders.

  3. How in the world was this man ever hired? There is a serious concern here. It appears that NO background investigation was ever done and the accused man may have lied during his interview if there was an interview.

    1. When the relevant people do not take their roles and responsibilities seriously things fall apart.

  4. Will MCPS follow suit:
https://www.dcnewsnow.com/news/local-news/virginia/fairfax-county/fairfax-county-public-schools-increase-employee-background-checks/ -Background checks will be increased for all employees including temporary employees, hourly staff, and substitutes.
-Starting this month, employees will be reviewed through the National Sex Offender Registry.
-Employees will be subject to periodic background checks of their criminal record, sex offender status, and other acts that impact a person’s ability to work.
