BALTIMORE (WBFF) — Maryland State lawmakers are facing mounting pressure to scale back a massive increase in education spending known as the Blueprint for Maryland’s Future.
The landmark legislation pumps billions into public education, but local government officials say it’s crushing their budgets.
“We're struggling. We're struggling with Kirwan,” Harford County Executive Bob Cassilly told Project Baltimore. “The news isn't good. I cannot deal with a $40 million increase in my education budget next year.”..
