A verbal and physical fight called “dangerous and unacceptable” by John F. Kennedy High School’s principal began in the stands of a basketball game with Richard Montgomery High School Jan. 18 and continued after the game ended.

Two security officials were slightly injured, and a Montgomery County police officer was pushed.

According to Kennedy Principal Vickie Adamson in a letter sent Sunday to her school community, “a serious incident” occurred at the game, which was held at Richard Montgomery High School...

2 staffers knocked to ground during student fight at Montgomery Co. high school

A fight between two students at a high school in Montgomery County, Maryland, ended quickly, according to the principal, but not before two staffers were knocked to the floor while trying to separate the students.

News of the fight at Bethesda-Chevy Chase High School on Wednesday prompted Montgomery County Council member Will Jawando, who viewed a video of the incident, to issue a statement saying that “violence has no place in our schools or community.”..

Five Teens Arrested in Connection with Assault After High School Football Game

 For Immediate Release: Friday, September 8, 2023

Gaithersburg, MD - Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police 2nd District Investigative Section have arrested five teenagers believed to be involved in an assault outside of a Bethesda Metro station on Friday, September 1, 2023.

16-year-old Kharon Crosby of Bethesda, is facing charges as an adult, including armed robbery and second-degree assault. Additionally, two other teenagers, aged 15 and 16, have been charged as juveniles with robbery and second-degree assault offenses. Two 15-year-olds face first-degree-assault charges.

The incident took place following a Bethesda-Chevy Chase and Walter Johnson football game, where the three accused teens allegedly assaulted and robbed other teenage victims.

A male victim, along with a parent, reported the assault to police the night of the incident.

A video of the assault surfaced on social media, drawing the attention of Montgomery County Police. As a result, detectives were able to identify the suspects with the assistance of Montgomery County Public School leaders. This case remains an active and ongoing investigation, and more arrests are expected to be made.

Fights, Robberies Break Out Following Walter Johnson-B-CC Football Game


Multiple fights broke out, followed by calls for service in and around the Bethesda central business district Friday night. Most happened soon after the Walter Johnson at Bethesda-Chevy Chase football game ended, according to Montgomery County Police.

Many of the incidents involved assaults, thefts and robberies.

A video of a fight circulated on social media is believed to be B-CC students assaulting Walter Johnson students, according to police. This incident occurred by the Bethesda Metro, and several people reported there were injuries.

One Walter Johnson student went to police with a parent at 10 p.m. Friday to file a report that he was assaulted and his shoes stolen...
