Governor O'Malley Seeking Volunteers for Task Force

All,
Governor O'Malley is seeking volunteers to serve on a Task Force to study the creation of a Maryland Center for School Safety. This Task Force is the result of a bill introduced by State Senator Conway. While most of the positions on the Task Force are for people already in positions in government or in the school system, here are some openings for interested parents and students:

"(10) the following members appointed by the Governor:
(i) two parents of public school students;
(ii) two public school students;
(iii) one representative from a nonpublic school;
(iv) one representative who is
knowledgeable in serving students with disabilities; and
(v) one representative of school bus drivers."

Positions will be filled within the next few weeks, so fill out the form and volunteer!

Thanks.

Education Committee Chair, Montgomery County Civic Federation
