There is some tension in the MoCo Delegation about the on-going controversy between Council and the BOE. Influential Delegates, eager to weigh in may be lining up with the BOE. There is even an idea to bring back the legislative initiative introduced late last year of providing the financial independence by giving BOEs across the state taxing powers.
