Why are you applying to be part of the Drive for Supplies Corps? (200 words or less)
What are three things students can do to improve the environment and encourage recycling? (200 words or less)
How would participating in the Drive for Supplies Corps help you develop your leadership skills? How will you take what you learn back to your school? (200 words or less)
I confirm that I am in compliance with MCPS Policy IQD: Academic Eligibility for Extracurricular Activities. This policy requires students involved in extracurricular activities to have and maintain a 2.0 GPA with no more than one E.
200 words OR LESS is not an essay. And if a child is barely passing his or her classes, isn't it right for the county to want that child to focus on schoolwork? Let's not get worked up about things just for the sake of being incensed.
ReplyDeleteWow. You really hate children. What "school work" do you imagine MCPS students will be doing on June 8th? Actually, if you did any reading - ever - you would know that students that are engaged in their communities through activity, sports, clubs etc. do better at school than those that are disengaged.
DeleteIf you could lift your head out of your hole, you would also know that there are many students in MCPS that have learning disabilities that make an application process a barrier for them while they would be perfectly capable of sorting school supplies.
But the MCPS numbers make it clear how much MCPS and the Apple Ballot hate students with disabilities. We got that. This is just one more example of how MCPS discriminates, excludes and bullies.
As a reminder, community service is required for graduation. There is no GPA requirement for performing community service, except when MCPS wants to turn community service into a photo opportunity and doesn't want any students to mess up the image they want to convey.
