That's a pretty piece of "spin" the Times has there. Perhaps they'd like to track down where that money is going: how much to tech, how much to testing, how much to middle management, how much to school construction/upkeep (which of course will vary wildly from district to district). Anyone who thinks all that money is going into teachers' pockets is completely deluded (and judging from some of the comments, not to mention the way the survey questions were worded, that accounts for far too many people :-( ).
