Tues. Jan. 25th: @mococouncil Votes to Speed Process for Cell Towers in Front Yards AND Lower Fees for Vendors

Dear neighbor,

Tomorrow afternoon (Tuesday, January 25) the County Council is scheduled to vote on two resolutions to:
  1. Speed conditional use hearings  (by restricting resident rights)  for wireless facilities that will be placed very near to homes  and
  2. Lower fees for these applications so as to massively subsidize wireless expansion - at resident/taxpayer expense.
The Council is poised to approve and encourage close proximity wireless antennas in spite of the recent DC Court of Appeals decision (EHT vs FCC) that the FCC has yet to provide a “reasoned explanation” to demonstrate current radio frequency (RF) emission standards are safe.

We need your help TODAY to reach out to the County Council to STOP these onerous resolutions!

MC4T.ORG is working with a broad coalition of Montgomery County organizations that are opposed to these resolutions. Resolutions that are intended to  implement some of the most onerous provisions of ZTA 19-07.

Please use this link to take action and send emails to all Council Members urging that they reject both resolutions.

(The link includes lots more information and a special one-minute tool to make it very easy to contact the Council.)

Please take action today!

And, as always thank you so much for your support!

  2. TODAY - @ Jan 25 WorkSessions - Council's voting on 2 BAD Resolutions, which FUEL conflicts between neighbors; EXCLUDE those already socioeconomically disadvantaged and marginalized, and often persons of color; and SADDLE residents-taxpayers, rather than industry-applicants with the bulk of the County’s costs for small cell tower reviews.
